Calculated Rollup Field : workflow doesn't fire on data delete

Sep 3, 2015 at 11:47 AM
The workflow executes beautiful, if I create a dataset and change defined fields.
But it doesn't fire, if I delete a dataset.
Any idea ?

Thank you in advance,

Hi Demian,

many thanks for your answer,

I am on the same CRM Online Environment (7.1.1.3113).

The Parameters should be ok, because it works
after creating a new child record and after modifing it.

But the rollup field doesn't update only ofter deleting a child record.

The relationship between parent and child (1:N) is hierarchical,
so if a child record is deleted from subgrid, it is "really"deleted.

In the workflow mainform the "delete"-Option is checked.

Kind regards
Harald

Hi Demian,

it seems, that the realtime workflow recalculates the rollup field BEFORE record is deleted,

Any idea, how t o change this ?

Hiu HaraldM sorry for the delay...
I understand your point, but right now I'm not sure how to modify this one.
Maybe one Workaround is to have this workflow on "delete" as async one instead of Synchronous.
thanks!

Hi Demian,

I have 1.0.4.0 installed. How can I update to 1.0.7.0 ?

Hi Harald, sorry for the delay.
I think the best way is removing the old one and importing it again.

The best way I've found is to add a boolean field "Ignore in Calculation" and only update to TRUE immediately before running the ON DELETE Recalculator. Set the rollup field to filter out any values where "Ignore in Calculation" is TRUE.

Then you can continue to run the workflow in Sync mode and have real time results without incorrectly calculating deleted values.

Cheers!
